THE ROLE:

* Develop and optimize CNC lathe programs using MasterCAM (required).
* Generate efficient toolpaths for 2-axis and multi-axis turning centers.
* Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T to ensure precision machining standards are met.
* Support setup teams with tooling selection, insert choice, speeds & feeds, and workholding strategy.
* Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs to improve cycle times and reduce scrap.
* Collaborate with engineering and production to support new part introduction and process improvements.

THE PERSON:

* Proven CNC lathe programming experience (3-5+ years preferred).
* Strong hands-on proficiency with MasterCAM (essential).
* Experience programming multi-axis turning centers is highly desirable.
* Solid understanding of turning processes, tooling strategies, and GD&T.
* Comfortable working directly with machinists in a production setting.
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.
