On offer is an opportunity to join a world-leading chemical logistics company, as a Hydraulic Systems Maintenance Engineer / Technician to take ownership of the site’s mechanical and hydraulic systems playing a key role in developing best practice maintenance strategies, troubleshooting system issues and infrastructure reliability.
The ideal candidate will be a technically strong, reliability-focused maintenance professional experienced in hydraulic system integrity who enjoys taking ownership of diagnosing complex system issues and improving long-term performance, potentially deriving from an Aerospace background working on Turbine or Compressors.
This company is long established and remains one of the most respected service providers in the chemical sector, supporting liquid petroleum and chemical operations worldwide.
THE ROLE:
* Lead and support mechanical and hydraulic system maintenance across the terminal, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and control systems.
* Perform mechanical, controls, and electrical fault-finding to identify root causes and implement effective technical solutions.
* Develop and maintain best practices for hydraulic system integrity, reliability, and preventative maintenance.
* Support system upgrades through change management, HAZOP participation, spare parts management, documentation updates, and contractor coordination.
THE PERSON:
* Experience in hydraulic systems, mechanical maintenance, or controls within industrial environments.
* Strong understanding of hydraulics, mechanical repairs, controls, and electrical functions of complex systems.
* Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and engineered drawings.
* Safety-focused, analytical, and comfortable working hands-on in demanding industrial environments.
